C. Gregory Kay
Greg has over four decades of experience during which his areas of practice included family law, estate litigation, employment law, property and contracts disputes, personal injury claims and criminal law. Greg is now counsel to the firm where his role is limited to providing strategic advice to the other lawyers in the firm.
Outside of the practice of law, Greg is a marathon runner, novice triathlete, skier and golfer.

Arkady (Kady) McCourt
Originally from the Cobourg area, Kady obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa and subsequently completed law school at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School. Graduating from law school in 2013 in the top 5% of her class, Kady received awards for highest standing in Restitution and Commercial Law.
Kady articled at a small law firm in Toronto, which exclusively practises Family Law. Kady was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2014, at which time she returned to Cobourg to practise Family Law under the mentorship of Greg Kay.
Kady practices primarily Family Law, including negotiating and drafting domestic contracts, representing clients in mediation and arbitration, and Family Court litigation. Kady has experience dealing with cases involving complex financial issues, including those involving self-employment income and high income earners; equalization of family property; high conflict parenting disputes; child and spousal support issues; and child protection proceedings.
Kady recognizes the high emotional and financial impact that separation and divorce has on her clients, and deals with each of her cases in an empathetic and compassionate manner, while ensuring that clients receive clear and direct advice.
Since 2016, Kady has acted as an agent for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, representing children and minor parents in custody and access disputes, child protection proceedings and adoptions.
In her personal time, Kady enjoys travelling, the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Julian Woodward
Julian obtained his undergraduate degree from Ontario Tech University, after which time he attended law school at the University of Ottawa and graduated with distinction.
As a long-term resident of Cobourg, Julian was eager to return to the area to practice law. He began articling at Kay & McCourt in June 2022 and became an associate at the firm following his call to the Ontario Bar in June 2023.
Julian practices family law, including representing clients in family court and alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration, drafting and negotiating domestic contracts, parenting disputes, child support issues, spousal support issues and child protection.
Julian accepts Legal Aid Certificates in the areas of family law and child protection.
Outside of work, Julian is an avid golfer, snowboarder and online chess player.

Colleen Robinson
After graduating from the Law Office Procedures program at St. Lawrence College Kingston in 1978, Colleen worked at law offices in Napanee and Peterborough before joining Hustler & Kay in April, 1987.
Colleen’s work was primarily Title Searching/Conveyancing and filing Court documents until 2007 when she commenced working as a Family Law/Litigation Assistant.
She currently works on client and file management including preparation of Court documents, correspondence and accounts, handling telephone and email communications and scheduling appointments.
Colleen presents professionalism by her attention to detail, providing client confidentially and effective time management skills.
Her personal interests include spending time with her grandchildren, sewing/knitting/crocheting, bowling and reading.
